The landscape project is based on the coexistence of two distinct realms: the Macrocosm and the Microcosm.
The Macrocosm refers to a rational, grid-based urban space that connects the project area with the surrounding city. Linear tiling patterns and the strategic arrangement of furniture foster integration between the new development and the existing urban fabric.
In contrast, the Microcosm is conceived as an urban oasis within the city—an intimate, protected space. It functions as a hidden garden, where the topography becomes the focal element of the landscape design. An articulated morphology connects the city level with the level of the courtyard. A series of mounts transform a technical complexity—namely, combining levels of significantly different heights—into a defining characteristic. Rather than a defined ramp, the space invites discovery, with a handrail seamlessly integrated into the design to ensure a safe passage for those who need it.
This predominantly mineral space is punctuated by a few perennial plants with striking foliage, which brighten the area and create small, inviting places for people to pause and rest.
